God our Father,
by whose Son's death and resurrection we have been redeemed,
you are the glory of your faithful, the life of your saints:
have mercy on your servant Alison,
and as she professed her faith in the mystery of our resurrection,
so may she gain possession of eternal joy.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace. Amen.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen
Funeral arrangements as well as information about the wider purpose of this blog will be posted here in due course.
Well done good and faithful servant: enter into the joy of your Lord
ReplyDeleteAlison will be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She was a true example of living a Christian life.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to her of Alison's death. Due to health reasons on both sides we weren't together as much as we would have liked, but we'll meet again where there's no parting. Rest in Peace Alison.

ReplyDeleteThe world has lost a beautiful lady. Rest easy sweet girlfriend. We will meet again
ReplyDeleteIn her last email to me she talked about being "content with life as God has given it, which I think is the secret to a really fulfilled life". She lived a fulfilled life in spite of her limitations, beside which mine are tiny. I believe that Paul's expectation is true for Alison: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing" (2 Timothy 4.7,8). I hope I'll meet her then.

ReplyDeleteI will never forget you Alison especially for all the support you gave me when I was pregnant with Evie and facing judgement from all quarters for keeping my precious baby. You taught me so much - a truly inspirational lady. It was a priviledge to know you. With much love, Sue Edwards.
