Alison Davis 8 January 1955 - 3 December 2013

Ali died this morning at 8.40am at home.

God our Father,
by whose Son's death and resurrection we have been redeemed,
you are the glory of your faithful, the life of your saints:
have mercy on your servant Alison,
and as she professed her faith in the mystery of our resurrection,
so may she gain possession of eternal joy.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace. Amen.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Funeral arrangements as well as information about the wider purpose of this blog will be posted here in due course.

  1. Well done good and faithful servant: enter into the joy of your Lord

  2. Alison will be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She was a true example of living a Christian life.

  3. So sad to her of Alison's death. Due to health reasons on both sides we weren't together as much as we would have liked, but we'll meet again where there's no parting. Rest in Peace Alison.

  4. sooooooooo sad to my mummy alison davis god given peace love u mummy

  5. The world has lost a beautiful lady. Rest easy sweet girlfriend. We will meet again

  6. In her last email to me she talked about being "content with life as God has given it, which I think is the secret to a really fulfilled life". She lived a fulfilled life in spite of her limitations, beside which mine are tiny. I believe that Paul's expectation is true for Alison: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing" (2 Timothy 4.7,8). I hope I'll meet her then.

    1. Lovely tribute for a wonderful lady.

  7. How lucky I am to have known you and enjoyed your amazing friendship for so long..R.I.P.Ali....A giant amongst Pro Lifers

  10. Such a delightful, brave and gracious woman and a dear dear friend who I will miss greatly. Even though we were on opposite sides of the world I felt so close to Ali and believe we are even closer now. I count myself so privileged to have known you. May you rest in the peace.

  11. No words could express how much Ali meant to me. She was a shining example of love, courage, humour and generosity. I will love her and treasure her memory every day of my life... and beyond. Only a heartbeat away. Rest in Eternal Peace my Darling Friend. We Love You ~ Sarah & Bethany

  12. Alison, you were and are an inspiration. I'm so glad we got to see each other this summer and will cherish the memory of us together. I know you are safe in God's hands now. Trina, Nick and Rachel

  13. I will never forget you Alison especially for all the support you gave me when I was pregnant with Evie and facing judgement from all quarters for keeping my precious baby. You taught me so much - a truly inspirational lady. It was a priviledge to know you. With much love, Sue Edwards.
